To Further the Academic Cooperation: ASPC Inks MoU with University of Tehran

Arya Sasol Polymer Company (ASPC) and University of Tehran signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate bilaterally in the research and technology fields.

 Signing the above mentioned MoU, the managing director of ASPC referred to what has been carried out in the firm so far such as innovative and technological measures and also the potentials of University Of Tehran.

Mohammad Reza Heidarzadeh stating that “ASPC’s goal is to create products based on ethylene, and in the next period, we will try to get more added value in the company's products by gathering together a young team, and on the other hand, we will increase knowledge.

He pointed to the establishment of the innovation and knowledge center of ASPC in the first quarter of his presidency in the company and stated: “within a year, caring out knowledge-based activities, we managed to register the company as a knowledge-based one gaining remarkable achievements and honors.

Heydarzadeh mentioned the company’s superiority in the field of science and technology, ICT and IT and in various areas of corporate governance adding: “First, we tried to produce new grades that were vital and would cause the withdrawal of foreign currency. Therefore, the domestic capacity of the company was identified and then we cooperated with knowledge-based companies and others and produced three new critical grades using the existing capacity”.

He stated that these three grades were produced in less than a year after the establishment of the Innovation and Knowledge Center, and asserted: “Only one of these three grades was produced in two countries and before that, the country's needs were fully imported, and 20 million dollars of foreign exchange was exported; a company with such a wide portfolio is registered as a knowledge-based company, which is a unique act”.
